White Chocolate Snack Mix

One bite is not enough with this super-easy, no bake dessert-esque snack! Salty pretzel sticks, Chex cereal, popcorn, mini-marshmallows are bathed in melted white chocolate, drizzled with more colored white chocolate, and adorned with seasonal sprinkles and colored sugar.

Need a last minute party treat or a quick gift to give? This snack mix mixes up in minutes and can be dressed up depending on the season. I opted for the traditional red and green colors for Christmas, but you can easily adjust the color of sprinkles and chocolate candy melts for the time of the year…Valentines, St. Patty’s Day, Easter, 4th of July, baby-showers, weddings…

The combination of salty and sweet options are also endless. Mix in salty snacks like Bugles, Frito corn chips, Goldfish crackers, roasted peanuts, or change the pretzel shape. Sweet options like M&M candies, mini Reese Cups, or chopped candy bars like Snickers are always yummy! The type of popcorn used is easily interchangeable too. I used air-popped popcorn in this recipe, but go for buttered microwave popcorn if that’s what you have on hand. Enjoy!

Ingredients

Scale 1x2x3x

3 cups popcorn (air-popped or microwave, plain or buttered)

2 cups pretzels (sticks, nuggets, snaps, or twists)

2 cups cereal (Chex, Cheerios, cornflakes, etc.)

2 cups miniature marshmallows

1 pound (about 2 to 2-1/2 cups) white chocolate, melted

1/2 cup colored white chocolate, melted (for drizzling)

Colored sprinkles and sanding sugar for decoration

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine popcorn, pretzels, cereal, and marshmallows. Pour melted white chocolate over the mixture.  Stir to evenly coat snack mix with white chocolate.  Pour chocolate mixture onto baking sheets lined with parchment or wax paper.  Spread mixture into an even layer.  Drizzle colored and melted white chocolate over snack mix.  Sprinkle with colored sprinkles and sanding sugar.  Allow mixture to harden before breaking up to store in an airtight container.
