Ingredients

Scale

1 tsp. kosher salt

1/4 tsp. ground chipotle powder

23 candied jalapeño slices from Crazy Cowboy Candy (aka Candied Jalapeños)

2 oz. silver tequila

1 oz. fresh lime juice (1 squeezed lime)

1/2 oz. orange liqueur, such as Cointreau or Grand Marnier

1/2 oz. syrup from Crazy Cowboy Candy (aka Candied Jalapeños)

Instructions

On a plate combine kosher salt and chipotle powder.  Moisten the rim of a margarita glass with lime juice or water.  Roll the rim in the salt and chipotle powder mixture.  Set aside.

Place candied jalapeño slices in the bottom of a cocktail shaker.  Muddle gently to partially break up slices. Add silver tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and Crazy Cowboy Candy syrup to the cocktail shaker.  Fill shaker with ice cubes to about the 1/2 way mark.  Place the top on the shaker and shake for 15 to 20 seconds.  Pour into prepared margarita glass.  Garnish with additional candied jalapeño slices and lime slice, if desired.
