On a sweltering summer day a few years ago, Son A and I decided to venture out into the humidity to grab a bite of lunch at one of our favorite south-of-the-border places. Wanting to break out of the margarita-ordering mold, the Monk and I ordered Cantaritos. With a trifecta of citrusy elements (lime, grapefruit and orange), the Cantarito is a combination of the classic margarita and Paloma cocktails. The original recipe for this homemade Cantarito comes from the Moody Mixologist, but is tweaked it to include the salt-n-chili pepper rim from the restaurant. If tequila isn’t your spirit, swap it out for rum or vodka. It’ll be just as refreshingly tasty!
